The celebration of Pokemon day and the evolution of Pepemon

One of my precious childhood memories is from roughly 25 years ago.

By that time I was still a little brat, about 7 years old, and I remember me and my friends at preliminary school playing on our Game boy’s every day after school, showing off our Pokemon and battling each other to see who was the strongest.

It was 25 years ago when the generation 1 Pokemon, originally called Pocket monsters, were released into the wild, and we are all here today to celebrate that day, Pokemon day.

Original characters. Original art. Always.

I think most of us have grown up with these little monsters, have owned a few Pokemon trading cards, seen the shows or played the games. Even now, 25 years later, people all over the world still love Pokemon and the anniversary is celebrated with many events, like Logan Paul opening his first million dollar box of Pokemon cards, he should have bought Pepemon with that kind of money, what a fool (keep an eye on his social). There is a virtual concert as well, with rapper Post Malone as a headliner, who according to himself, is a rapper but he does not make rap music! Awesome! The concert will start at 4 p.m. PT on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/12 a.m. Sunday GMT/10 a.m. Sunday AEST)

Most of us, I know I have, have lost or sold the now rare and precious trading cards. My gameboy has turned to dust by now and if I still had my trading cards I would only be able to play versus someone who lives close to me, and probably be ashamed because I prefer to hide in the anonymity of the internetz. And I would have probably been very rich…

This is where Pepemon takes it to the next level. Created out of love for Pokemon and memes, Pepemon originally started off as a community wanting to build a TCG on blockchain using everyone’s favorite characters.

With The New Beginning Series trading cards released not too long ago Pepemon has decided to evolve the brand even further, keeping the roots close to the origin but acquiring the ability to create shiny and exclusive content with no boundaries or IP limitations.

Best pixel art meets stunning visual details.

Artists will get the chance to show their work on and the art created will actually be used as well! That’s an artist’s wet dream right?

With Pepemon you will never lose your precious and hard fought for Legendary NFT trading card. This is your chance to obtain juicy collectors edition cards. They will remain in your wallet as long as you keep them there. So with A mint-condition first-edition shadowless holographic Charizard sold at auction in October 2020 for a whopping $220,574 to retired rapper — and Pokémon fan — Logic, imagine what a golden Fudizard will be worth $$$

One of the practical aspects of Pepemon, in comparison to other traditional mobile games, whenever you do not like your Pepemon anymore you can just sell them on one of the various marketplaces, like Opensea and Rarible. When you quit a traditional mobile game your hard earned money and your precious time that you spent in game is lost forever. Now you can get your moneyz back and spend it on booze! That’s what I call an improvement!

Gen 1 Pepesaur on Opensea

Pepemon uses the strength of Blockchain and has created its own decentralized finance — DeFi — ecosystem, with 2 tokens: The governance token $PPBLZ with a fixed supply of 14.000. To obtain the 2nd token in the system, $PPDEX, owners of $PPBLZ must contribute to Pepemon by staking or providing liquidity. The then earned $PPDEX can be spent within the system to obtain exclusive NFT trading cards or by joining one of the evolution events ;) ;) thus keeping most of the $PPDEX within the Pepemon DeFi system (btw it gets burned upon every card purchase). Pretty genius, exactly what you would expect of a Pepetrainers.

Pivysaur was available to grab only for Pepesaur NFT owners. Next evolution is going live soon!

When Pepemon started 99.86% of the total $PPBLZ supply has been airdropped to community members and currently approximately 80% of the supply is being staked, pointing to a very strong and sexy community. We are close to 60.000 $PPDEX spent in the store which is roughly $250.000. The interest in those beautiful NFT trading cards has been continuously growing with more cards being minted every day and huge price increases have been seen on the NFT markets.

With mobile gaming revenue estimated at 63 billion dollars in 2021, 2 of the most booming and sought after crypto applications combined into one, NFT with DeFi, and long lost childhood memories in the palm of your hand, the future for Pepemon is looking bright.
